Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has issued three Royal Decrees concerning international agreements with Iraq, Indonesia, and the United Kingdom. These decrees aim to enhance bilateral relations by addressing taxation, visa policies, and work permits.

According to Oman News Agency, the first of these is Royal Decree No. (105/2025), which ratifies an agreement between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Republic of Iraq. This agreement, signed in Salalah on 3 September 2025, focuses on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion concerning taxes on income and capital. The decree stipulates that this agreement is to be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from the date of issue.

The second decree, Royal Decree No. (106/2025), pertains to a mutual visa waiver agreement with Indonesia. This agreement, signed in Muscat on 24 November 2025, applies to holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports. Similar to the first decree, this agreement will be published in the Official Gazette and come into effect immediately.

The third decree, Royal Decree No. (107/2025), involves an agreement with the United Kingdom concerning work permits for spouses of official employees. This agreement was signed in London on 7 October 2025. It also follows the same procedure for publication and enforcement as the previous decrees.

These decrees reflect Oman's commitment to strengthening diplomatic and economic ties with key international partners.
