Saudi arabia: The activities of the 'Gulf Shield 2026' exercise commenced today in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the participation of the Royal Air Force of Oman.
According to Oman News Agency, this joint aerial exercise, conducted by the air forces of the GCC countries, aims to elevate military readiness levels and develop joint action mechanisms to achieve the highest degrees of coordination and integration in operational environments, following established best practices.
The exercise includes an integrated package of procedures, tests, and operational scenarios designed to evaluate combat efficiency and the effectiveness of responses to various challenges, thereby supporting and enhancing the flexibility of the joint deterrence system. The exercise embodies an advanced model of air defense cooperation among GCC states, affirming their readiness to confront current and future threats. It also consolidates the concept of joint military action as a fundamental pillar for maintaining the security, stability, and safety of the GCC countries.
