Muscat: Commodore Jasim Mohammed Al Balushi, Acting Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), received Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Indian Navy's Western Naval Command, along with his military delegation at Al Murtafa'a Camp.
According to Oman News Agency, during their meeting, the officials exchanged views on several matters, focusing on naval fields and various military topics of common interest. The visit aimed to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation between the naval forces of Oman and India.
Vice Admiral Swaminathan and his delegation also visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC). They were welcomed by Commodore Adel Hamoud Al Busaidi, Head of the Maritime Security Centre. The delegation was briefed on the roles and efforts of the MSC in maintaining security and safety within Oman's maritime zones. Additionally, they were introduced to the centre's facilities and the modern technologies and systems it employs to ensure maritime security.
