Al Mudhaibi Industrial City Attracts 14 Investment Projects Worth RO 15 Million

Muscat: Al Mudhaibi Industrial City is consolidating its position as one of the most promising economies in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate. The city recently attracted 14 investment projects worth RO 15 million.

According to Oman News Agency, the city saw the start of the first phase of infrastructure development works as part of an integrated plan to provide a competitive investment environment that supports the goals of economic diversification in North Sharqiyah Governorate within the framework of Oman Vision 2040.

The first phase, which will cover an area of 1.34 million square metres out of the city's total area of 9 million square metres, includes a network of internal roads that connects all industrial plots, in addition to fresh water, electricity, sewage, and communication networks and a centre to provide services to investors.

The total cost of infrastructure at the city stood at RO 17.5 million, with the infrastructure reaching a completion rate of 7%.

The fact that the 14 projects attracted recently by the city were equally distributed between Omani and foreign investors reflects balance in the city's attractiveness to local and international investment. The projects include units for the production of electrical equipment and furniture, as well as slaughterhouses and other facilities.
