The sultanate of oman: has denounced the decision of the Government of the Republic of Colombia to recognize Israel's sovereignty over the occupied Syrian Golan. Oman affirmed that this decision constitutes a violation of international law and contradicts the resolutions of international legitimacy, foremost among them United Nations Security Council Resolution No. 497 of 1981. According to Oman News Agency, in a statement issued today by the Foreign Ministry, the Sultanate of Oman reiterated its steadfast position that the Golan is occupied Syrian territory, affirming its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic over all its lands. Oman also called upon all states to adhere to the Charter of the United Nations, the provisions of international law, and the relevant resolutions of international legitimacy.
