MSX 30 Index Rises by 26 Points

Muscat: Muscat Stock Exchange "MSX 30" index today closes at 7,604.01 points, up 26.2 points, or 0.345 percent, from the previous session's close of 7,577.85 points.

According to Oman News Agency, the trading value stood at RO 53,634,079, representing a rise of 14.7 percent from RO 46,779,020 recorded in the last session. The increase in trading value reflects a positive momentum in the market activities, suggesting a renewed investor interest.

Market capitalization increased by 0.329% from the previous trading day to approximately RO 38.64 billion. This indicates a steady growth in the market valuation, likely driven by the trading activities and positive investor sentiments.

Non-Omani investors recorded purchases worth RO 6.643 million, accounting for 12.38 percent of the total trading value, while sales reached RO 9.342 million, or 17.42 percent. Consequently, net non-Omani investment decreased by RO 2.700 million, or 5.03 percent, highlighting a more cautious approach from foreign investors amidst the trading session.
