Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held a meeting with President Paul Kagame of the Republic of Rwanda at Al Maamourah Palace this morning. During the meeting, the two leaders reaffirmed the growing ties between their countries and their shared commitment to further strengthening cooperation across economic and investment sectors, in the interest of their peoples.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting was attended on His Majesty's side by high-ranking officials including His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, and His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs. Other notable attendees included Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, and Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, among others.
From the Rwandan side, the meeting was attended by Olivier Nduhungirehe, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, along with Yusuf Murangwa, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, and Antoine Kajangwe, Minister of Trade and Industry. Additional attendees included Solange Uwituze, Minister of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources, and Juliana Muganza, CEO of Rwanda Development Board, as well as Dan Munyuza, Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to the Sultanate of Oman.
