Muscat:Oil prices experienced a 1% decline as crude exports from the Gulf began to recover, coinciding with an unexpected rise in US oil inventories.
According to Oman News Agency, Brent crude futures decreased by 1.1%, settling at $96.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate crude saw a 1.4% drop, reaching $89.18 a barrel.
Both benchmarks had previously risen by approximately $1 a barrel on Wednesday. In September, Brent crude achieved a monthly gain of around 14%, marking its largest increase since July. West Texas Intermediate also saw a monthly rise of about 5%.
