RAMALLAH, The Israeli occupation forces raided this morning many Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem and detained at least 14 people, including a father and his son, according to various Palestinian sources.

Soldiers raided the Iktaba neighborhood, east of the northern West Bank city of Tulkarm, and detained a 56-year-old man and his 27-year-old son, according to local sources. They said, however, that the father was released this morning.

Also in the northern West Bank, soldiers detained two Palestinians from the Jenin governorate and one from Nablus city whose brother was previously shot and killed by Israeli soldiers despite being seriously ill to the point the soldiers had to carry him on a stretcher.

In the Ramallah area, soldiers detained three people after raiding their homes, two of them from Jalazon refugee camp and the third from the village of Kubar, northwest of Ramallah.

Palestinian security forces told WAFA that residents of Jalazon refugee camp clashed with the raiding soldiers, who fired tear gas and rubber-coated metal bullets to disperse the crowds. There were no reports of injuries.

Three other Palestinians were detained in the governorate of Hebron in the south of the West Bank, two of them from the city and the third from the town of Idna, after raiding and ransacking their homes.

In occupied East Jerusalem, Israeli occupation forces broke into the family homes of three members of the extended Attoun family in Sur Baher neighborhood, south of the city, and detained them. A fourth member of the same family was summoned to appear at a police station in the city.

The Israeli forces raided several homes in the town of Izzariyeh, east of Jerusalem, and warned activists against holding any activity marking Fatah’s launch of the Palestinian national resistance, which coincides on January 1 of every year.
