A’Dakhiliyah Municipal Council Evaluates Waste Management and Urban Projects

A'dakhiliyah: The Municipal Council of A'Dakhiliyah Governorate today reviewed means of enhancing public safety and developing the waste management system in the governorate. It also took note of the progress made in urban and development projects being implemented in the governorate's wilayats. The meeting was chaired by Sheikh Hilal bin Said Al Hajri, Governor of A'Dakhiliyah, Chairman of the Municipal Council.

According to Oman News Agency, the municipal council hosted representatives from Averda Waste Management Company. It reviewed the company's plans for collection, transportation, and treatment of waste. It also discussed common challenges and solutions to be devised in line with urban expansion in the governorate's wilayats.

The municipal council looked into updates of the Nizwa Fa§ade project being implemented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning. The project seeks to enhance the wilayat's urban identity and stimulate its economic and tourism activities.

The municipal council also discussed proposals to dedicate sites for the establishment of new residential neighborhoods in the governorate's wilayats in order to meet the requirements of population growth.
