President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria was accorded an official welcome today on the occasion of his state visit to the Sultanate of OmanUpon the arrival of the motorcade of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Tebboune at Al Alam Palace courtyard, His Majesty the Sultan accompanied the Algerian President to the Dais of Honour where the national Anthem of Algeria was played, while the artillery fired a 21-gun salute for the guest President. Then, His Majesty the Sultan shook hands with members of the official delegation accompanying PresidentTebboune, wishing them a successful visit and a pleasant stay. On his turn, the guest shook hands with some members of the Royal Family, Chairmen of the State Council and Shura Council, ministers, commanders of the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF) and the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
