RAMALLAH, Exports increased in December 2021 by 7% compared to November of the same year, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS). It also increased by 23% compared to December 2020 and reached $158.3 million.
Exports to Israel increased in December by 12% compared to November and it represented 87% of total December exports, while exports to other countries decreased by 19% during the same period.
Imports increased in December by 1% compared to November. It also increased by 24% compared to December 2020 and reached $638.4 million, said the PCBS.
Imports from Israel decreased by 5% in December compared to November and it represented 51% of total imports in December, while imports from other countries increased by 7% in December compared to November.
The trade balance, which represents the difference between exports and imports, showed a decrease in trade deficit by 1% in December 2021 compared to November 2021, while it increased by 24% compared to December 2020 and reached $480.1 million.
