Cupertino:Apple has announced the release of iOS 27.0.1, an update designed to fix several bugs impacting iPhone users. This update addresses a problem where the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max could unexpectedly restart after a failed Face ID authentication attempt.
According to Oman News Agency, the update, released approximately two weeks following iOS 27, also resolves a camera issue. This bug could cause a color artifact in photos taken at 2x zoom under certain lighting conditions at an aperture of f/1.48, affecting a small number of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max devices.
Additionally, Apple has tackled an issue in iOS 27 that could render the touchscreen unresponsive if the Notification Center and Control Center were opened at the same time. The iOS 27.0.1 update is available for all iPhone models compatible with iOS 27, with specific fixes for the Face ID and camera problems targeting the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The release information mentions compatibility for iPhone 11 and later.
In conjunction with iOS 27.0.1, Apple has also released iPadOS 27.0.1 for eligible iPad models. This update is similarly focused on bug fixes and system enhancements. Both updates were made available on 28 September.
