Muscat: The number of applicants to the National Scientific Research Award in its 11th edition reached 274, with 167 being PhD holders (or equivalent degrees). In the category of emerging researchers, which includes non-holders of PhD degrees, the number of applicants reached 107. According to Oman News Agency, the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation will announce the winners of the award during the annual researchers' forum. This event is scheduled to take place next Monday, 9 December 2024, at the Oman Across Ages Museum.
