At least 19 Palestinians were detained in Israeli’s daily search-and-arrest raids in the occupied territories

RAMALLAH, The Israeli occupation forces today and last night detained at least 19 Palestinians in the daily search-and-arrest raids across the occupied territories that normally provoke confrontations and lead to deaths and injuries among the Palestinians.

Sources said Israeli forces detained one Palestinian after raiding and ransacking his family home in Silwad town, east of Ramallah city.

In Nablus district in the north of the West Bank, soldiers raided a house in Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus city, and detained one person after searching and ransacking his family home.

Soldiers also arrested a former prisoner after breaking into and searching his family house in ‘Illar town, in the Tulkarm district, and another in Tulkarm city.

A resident of Jaba town, south of Jenin, was also detained while he was at his work inside Israel.

In the southern West Bank, soldiers detained three people from Dheisheh refugee camp, south of Bethlehem city.

In Hebron district, a military force raided Yatta town, south of Hebron city, and detained five people, including a former prisoner, after raiding and ransacking the houses of their families. They also seized two vehicles during the raid.

On Monday night, the soldiers stopped and assaulted two young men in Hebron’s old town before detaining them.

They also detained two others after beating them with the butts of their rifles in Jaber neighborhood of Hebron.

Also on Monday night, Israeli police detained two youths from Bab Hutta neighborhood in Jerusalem’s Old City.

They also detained another after storming his family house in the city.
