At least 21 Palestinians rounded up in Israeli army raids across the occupied West Bank

RAMALLAH, Israeli occupation forces today detained at least 21 Palestinians from various parts of the occupied West Bank, according to various sources.

They said that Israeli forces stormed Jalazon refugee camp, north of Ramallah, surrounded a house for about one hour calling on those inside to come out and turn themselves in. Eventually, the soldiers detained the brother of a wanted person who was not in the house at the time to pressure the wanted person to turn himself in, local sources told WAFA.

Three other people were also detained at Jalazon camp, including two siblings, before the army had left the camp. Residents clashed with the invading soldiers who opened fire at the people injuring six in the feet, said the sources.

In al-Bireh city neighborhood of Umm al-Sharayet, soldiers detained two Palestinians after ransacking their family homes.

In Nablus district in the north of the West Bank, a convoy of army vehicles stormed al-Lubban al-Sharqiya village, south of Nablus city, where the soldiers detained two residents, including a university student.

During the raid, the soldiers used hammers to hit the doors of the houses, breaking them, going inside and conducting a thorough search, and destroying some of the contents. They also confiscated the detainees’ mobile phones and opened fire as a means to intimidate the families.

In the southern West Bank, soldiers showed up at a house in Kisan village, east of Bethlehem, ransacked it, and eventually detained two brothers.

They also barged into the Bethlehem city neighborhood of Wadi Shaheen, where they detained two people and ransacked the houses of their families.

Also in the southern West Bank, the sources confirmed that the soldiers arrested seven former prisoners from Hebron city.

They also arrested another after storming and searching his family house in al-Samou town, south of Hebron city.

On Monday evening, the sources confirmed a raid in al-Ram town, north of Jerusalem, resulting in the detention of a 14-year-old minor.
