Bahla Equestrian Festival Unites Riders Across Oman

Bahla: The 4th edition of the Bahla Equestrian Festival took place in Bahla, drawing riders from various governorates across the Sultanate of Oman. Organized by the Bahla Equestrian Society in collaboration with the Office of the Governor of A'Dakhiliyah, the event attracted significant participation from equestrian enthusiasts.

According to Oman News Agency, Sheikh Hilal Said Al Hajri, the Governor of A'Dakhiliyah, emphasized that the festival plays a crucial role in reviving Omani heritage and enhancing the role of equestrian events in strengthening the nation's cultural identity. The festival highlights Oman's rich equestrian traditions through events like Al Ardha, a traditional form of horsemanship, and competitions for children designed to promote horsemanship culture among the youth.

The festival's opening ceremony was presided over by Eng. Hamad Ali Al Nazwani, Undersecretary for Housing at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning.
