Manama, The Kingdom of Bahrain condemned and denounced the Israeli forces' targeting of a camp for displaced persons in Rafah in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the killing and injury of a number of innocent civilians. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the Kingdom of Bahrain's call on the international community, particularly members of the United Nations Security Council, to assume their responsibility in upholding international resolutions and the rules of international humanitarian law to achieve an immediate, permanent and comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip; protect innocent civilians, increase the flow of humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip in an urgent, safe and complete manner; and create a safe environment for reviving the just and comprehensive peace process with the Palestinian people obtaining their legitimate rights to establish their independent state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
