Bella Hadid says Instagram is blocking her content on Palestine

RAMALLAH, Palestinian-American supermodel Bella Hadid said yesterday that she was being silenced by Instagram whenever she posts a story on Palestine, at a time when Israeli occupation forces escalated their violence against the Palestinian people across the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem.

“When I post about Palestine I get immediately shadowbanned and almost 1 million less of you see my stories and posts,” the model said in a story shared on her Instagram account.

Hadid is the younger daughter of Palestinian American real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, who emigrated to the United States when he was a teenager and Dutch-born model Yolanda Hadid.

Yesterday, more than 400 Palestinian worshipers were arrested by the Israeli occupation forces when heavily armed Israeli police officers stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound following the dawn prayer. More than 120 worshipers were also wounded by the attacking forces.

The wounded Palestinians were injured by rubber-coated bullets, tear gas, or beaten by the Israeli police who also fired a barrage of stun grenades.

Over the past weeks, tensions have risen across the West Bank as the Israeli occupation authorities carried out arrests and military raids in many areas, especially in the north of the territory.
