Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, on Monday welcomed Admiral Edward Ahlgren, the UK's Senior Defense Advisor for the Middle East, and his accompanying delegation at the second presidency in Ain al-Tineh. British Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamish Cowell, was also in attendance. Discussions focused on the situation in Lebanon and the region, particularly in light of Israel's ongoing aggression against Lebanon and Gaza. In a separate meeting, Speaker Berri reviewed the latest security and political developments with Caretaker Defense Minister, Maurice Sleem. Additionally, Berri met with Slovakian Ambassador, Marek Varga, who paid a farewell visit as his diplomatic mission in Lebanon comes to an end.
