Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, accompanied by regional muftis, on Monday departed for Saudi Arabia on an official visit. "Our visit underscores the fraternal relations with Saudi Arabia's leadership, government, and people. The Kingdom has always supported Lebanon and its issues,' Derian stated. Moreover, the Grand Mufti emphasized the urgency of electing a president to stabilize Lebanon, warning of worsening crises and potential social explosions. He also stressed the importance of national unity amid continuous Zionist aggression against Lebanon and urged international accountability for atrocities in Gaza.
