Canadian MP Niki Ashton calls Israeli settlers’ violence in Huwara ‘unacceptable’

Canadian MP and politician Niki Ashton has called the Israeli settlers’ violence last night in the town of Huwara, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.

On her official Twitter page, the Canadian politician quoted a tweeted by Palestinian activist Issa Amro, in which he posted a video of Israeli settlers burning Palestinian houses, vehicles, trees and shops in the said town.

Ashton described the Israeli settlers’ violence as “unacceptable,” and “horrifying.”

She then proceeded to say that “Canada can’t sit quietly while this goes on.”
