Cultural Platforms Program in Wilayat of Ibra Launched by Cultural Club

Wilayat of ibra: The Cultural Club organized the Cultural Platforms Program today in the Wilayat of Ibra in North A'Sharqiyah Governorate, marking the third milestone of the program. The program will run for two days.

According to Oman News Agency, this program comes within the framework of the Club's efforts to enhance the cultural presence in the Wilayats of the Sultanate of Oman, expand the circle of community participation, and link academic and cultural institutions with knowledge pioneers and those interested in cultural affairs.

The Cultural Platforms Program involves presenting a series of lectures and holding scientific workshops and discussion sessions featuring an elite group of researchers and academics in the fields of literature, folk poetry, urban heritage, and children's education.

The program of events, held at the University of A'Sharqiyah in the Wilayat of Ibra, included on its first day a lecture on "Urban Features in the Wilayat of Ibra" presented by Dr. Nasser bin Saleh Al Ismaili. This was followed by a discussion session titled "Al Mazra'ah Village: History and Architecture" with Yacoub bin Mohammed Al Rawahi, and a lecture titled "The Importance of Children's Literature in School Education" presented by Dr. Yousef bin Sulaiman Al Maamari from Abdullah bin Zaid Basic Education School for Boys.

The program will continue its activities tomorrow with a workshop on short story analysis presented by Dr. Yousef bin Sulaiman Al Maamari, a lecture titled "Critical Views on Folk Poetry" presented by Dr. Said Al Wahaibi, and a discussion session on "Omani Folk Literature" by Dr. Ali bin Hamad Al Farsi and Dr. Bassam Barqawi from the University of A'Sharqiyah. There will also be an evening discussion session titled "Stylistic Phenomena in Omani Poetic Verse" with the participation of a number of academics and critics in the fields of poetry and literature.

It is noteworthy that the Cultural Platforms Program in the Governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, launched by the Cultural Club, aims to provide rich knowledge content that touches the community's interests and enhances cultural interaction in the Wilayats through various activities. These platforms are intended to be spaces where the cultural presence expands, local talents glow, and the voices of creators who contribute to shaping the features of the national cultural scene in the Sultanate of Oman are heard.
