RAMALLAH, Seven people died in Palestine after contracting the coronavirus and 530 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, today said Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.

She said in the daily report on the pandemic in Palestine that five of the deaths were in the Gaza Strip, where 355 new cases were recorded and 700 patients have recovered.

The West Bank recorded two deaths, 175 new cases, and 233 recoveries.

Alkaila said 115 people remain in hospital getting treatment for coronavirus, and 61 are in intensive care, while 11 are on ventilators.

The number of people in the West Bank and Gaza who are getting the booster corona shot is increasing and reached over 13,000 while over 1.25 million have received the second shot.
