Decline in number of new COVID-19 cases in West Bank as numbers remain high in Gaza Strip

RAMALLAH, The latest COVID-19 figures in Palestine show a decline in number of new cases in the West Bank while number remains high in the Gaza Strip.

Minister of Health Mai Alkaila said in her daily report on the pandemic in Palestine that 377 new cases and three deaths were recorded in the West Bank in the last 24 hours, while 1229 new cases and 14 deaths were recorded in the Gaza Strip.

In addition, 640 patients have recovered in the West Bank and 1886 in the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours.

Alkaila said 192 COVID-19 patients are getting treatment in hospitals and 75 are in intensive care, while 18 patients are on ventilators.

A total of 976,719 people have been vaccinated in the West Bank or 55.9%, and 416,267 people (32.9%) in the Gaza Strip.
