Muscat: Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Zaabi, Secretary General at the Ministry of Defence, today welcomed Lt. Gen Carmine Masiello, Chief of Staff of the Italian Army, at his office in Al Murtafa’a Garrison. The meeting aimed at reinforcing the military ties and cooperation between Oman and Italy.
According to Oman News Agency, the discussions focused on reviewing the existing bilateral relations and exploring various topics of mutual interest. The engagement underscored the commitment of both nations to enhance their collaborative efforts in defense and military sectors.
The meeting was also attended by Maj. Gen Mattar Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), Brigadier Ahmed Ibrahim Ambu Saidi, Director General of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Defense, and the military attaché at the Italian Embassy in Muscat. This high-level participation reflects the importance both countries place on strengthening their military connections.
