Manama, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of Bahrain Polytechnic's Board of Trustees, chaired the board's regular meeting. Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin, CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, and board members attended the meeting. The Minister highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain's continuous support for education, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The board reviewed reports from the executive management on the institution's progress, especially in expanding services. It approved the human resources regulations in coordination with the Civil Service Bureau and established new committees for technical and oversight matters. The meeting board took note that 3,998 new students have enrolled in various programmes this year, including vocational training to master's degrees.
