Prachinburi: Thai police today announced that 18 people were killed and 32 were injured when a bus veered off the road due to a brake failure.

According to Oman News Agency, the double-decker bus was carrying 49 people when it veered off the road while descending a slope in Prachinburi, eastern Thailand. The bus subsequently fell down the slope and overturned.

Thai police stated that 17 bodies were found at the scene of the accident, and another died in the hospital.
