Farmer wounded, car torched in a fresh attack by Israeli settlers near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, Saturday, June 25, 2022 (WAFA) – A Palestinian farmer was wounded and a car torched today in an attack by Israeli settlers outside the town of Turmus Ayya to the northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, according to witnesses.

They told WAFA that a group of around 30 Israeli settlers from the illegal settlements of Adi Ad and Shilo attacked with stones Palestinian farmers working in an area between the town of Turmus Ayya and al-Mughayir, injuring a farmer, 35, in his head. The farmer was moved to hospital for medical treatment.

The attacking settlers also set a vehicle on fire before leaving the area, added the sources.

Israeli settler violence against defenseless Palestinian civilians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli occupation authorities.
