Rawhi Fattouh, the General Commissioner for International Relations of Fatah Movement, warned yesterday about the consequences of the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli occupation army and settlers.
He said in a statement that the Israeli army’s killing of three Palestinians, including two intelligence officers, in Jenin on Wednesday-Thursday night was a war crime which comes in the context of the institutionalized Israeli colonial practices against the Palestinian people in Jerusalem, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and the 1948-occupied territories.
‘’There is a dangerous escalation in the Israeli attacks against Jerusalem, due to the lack of accountability. Israel is taking advantage of the silence of the international community and is accelerating the steps of displacement and demographic change in Jerusalem in an attempt to undermine the foundations of peace,’’ said Fattouh.
He pointed out that the daily Israeli assaults, which targets all the Palestinians, send a message to our people and its political forces of the need to achieve national unity and reinforce the role of the Palestine Liberation Organization, the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.
