Five Palestinians wounded by Israeli army gunfire following a funeral in a southern West Bank town

HEBRON, Five Palestinians were today shot and injured by Israeli soldiers who fired live and rubber-coated metal bullets at participants in a funeral in the town of Beit Ummar, north of the southern West Bank city of Hebron.

Local sources told WAFA that youths clashed with soldiers stationed at the entrance to the town after the soldiers attacked a funeral for a local woman, firing tear gas at the mourners and causing many suffocation cases.

In light of this attack, youths pelted the soldiers with stones and the soldiers fired back live and rubber-coated metal bullets causing five injuries in the lower limbs who were taken to clinics and a hospital in Hebron where they were reported in stable condition.
