Foreign Ministry demands international action to safeguard peace

RAMALLAH, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called today for serious international action to protect the world will for peace based on international law and the relevant UN resolutions.

In a press statement, the Ministry called for pressure on the Israeli Prime Minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu to stop the Israeli escalation, curb the armed settler militias and their terror against Palestinians, and take the necessary measures to ensure non-implementation of the Netanyahu-Ben Gvir agreements affecting the Palestinians.

The statement condemned the recent confiscation by the Israeli occupation authorities of 360 dunums of Palestinian land in the Dahr Sobh area in Salfit province, and the recent attacks by Israeli settler gangs on the Old City of Hebron.

“These violations amount to war crimes and fall within the framework of the official Israeli escalation of aggression against our people and their rights, especially in light of the agreements announced between the pillars of the upcoming Israeli coalition headed by Benjamin Netanyahu and his fascist allies,” read the statement.

“The is a coalition of settlements and settlers that goes hand in hand with Netanyahu’s continuous calls to skip the Palestinian issue and remove it from the list of international priorities.”
