Foreign Ministry describes Israel’s killing of two Palestinians, demolition of two homes as state terrorism

RAMALLAH, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates today condemned the Israeli occupation forces killing of two young Palestinians and the demolition of two houses in the town of Kufr Dan, west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, describing them as organized state terrorism.

Mohammad Samer Hoshiyeh and Fouad Mahmoud Abed were killed this morning when Israeli forces went into Kufr Dan to demolish two buildings owned by the Abed families.

In a press statement, the Foreign Ministry considered that this crime is “organized state terrorism and continuous Israeli attempts to plunge the area into a spiral of escalation and violence with the aim of impeding a political solution to the conflict, evading its obligations, and imposing a military approach in dealing with our people, their cause and their rights.”

It held the occupying state fully and directly responsible for the consequences of its actions, adding that the double international standards constitute an umbrella for the Israeli government’s persistence in the gradual annexation of the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and stifling any opportunity to establish the Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967, lines with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it is following up on the crimes of the occupation with the competent international courts, including the International Criminal Court.
