Salalah: The 14th GCC Conference for the Development of Human Resources Productivity commenced today at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Compound for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah, with the event inaugurated by HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar.
According to Oman News Agency, the conference spans two days and explores four primary themes: the synergy between emotional intelligence and artificial intelligence to boost productivity, the impact of emotional intelligence on occupational health and safety, the influence of technology on performance enhancement, and the use of emotional intelligence as a leadership tool. On the first day, sessions covered the current and future role of emotional intelligence and strategies for cultivating a work culture grounded in emotional intelligence. The program also included discussions on institutional experiences and interactive workshops focused on using emotional intelligence for motivation, feedback, and group productivity enhancement.
The second day of the conference will feature specialized sessions examining the relationship between emotional intelligence and artificial intelligence, effective leadership, productivity measurement, and development strategies, alongside interactive meetings and dialogues with human resources development leaders.
The conference is organized by Al Asayel Conferences in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, the Office of the Governor of Dhofar, and the Dhofar branch of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It seeks to highlight the significance of emotional intelligence in work environments, provide practical strategies for productivity enhancement, and establish a platform for exchanging regional and global experiences and expertise.
