Germany, France call on Israel to stop provocative acts at Al-Aqsa Mosque

BERLIN/PARIS, Germany and France today called on Israel to stop provocative acts at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

Reacting to the storming yesterday of the fascist Israeli minister, Itamar Ben Gvir, of the Muslim holy place under heavy police protection, the German foreign ministry spokesman said at a press conference that what Ben Gvir did was an unacceptable provocative act, calling on the Israeli government to put a stop to such acts and abide by the international standards regarding Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The French foreign ministry also expressed concern over the Israeli minister’s act as well as the rise in Israeli violence against the Palestinians in the West Bank, calling for preserving the status quo regarding the holy places in occupied Jerusalem.

It also called on Israel to stop all settlement activities because they threaten the two-state solution.
