HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA) and President of Bahrain Combat Sports Council, has praised the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, General Sports Authority (GSA) Chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President, in leading the Bahraini sport towards further local and global success.

HH Shaikh Salman affirmed that HH Shaikh Khalid has contributed to implementing the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to develop Bahraini sport towards higher levels.

HH Shaikh Salman added that HH Shaikh Khalid’s efforts also embody the keenness of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to further develop the sports sector through launching the necessary plans, programmes.

His Highness Shaikh Khalid also aims to turn the sports development strategies launched by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, SCYS Chairman, into realistic goals, leading to enhancing Bahraini sports’ wide-ranging achievements, he said.

HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed also highlighted the major role played by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad in promoting combat sports, citing the Brave Professional Mixed Martial Arts Championship, led by HH Shaikh Khalid, which has a major international tournament, adding another milestone to the landmark achievements of Bahrain in the sports field.

HH Shaikh Salman wished Brave Championship and those in charge of it continued success.
