His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent a cable of congratulations to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Royal Endurance Team Captain and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President and KHK Commander, today participated in their first external endurance event successfully on the successful participation of their children in their first external endurance event.
In the cable, HM the King praised the follow-up of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and their keenness in endurance races, commending the participation of their children to gain experience. HM the King also congratulated their children on winning cups for their participation.
He said that the children’s participation reflects the goals set by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to promote endurance sports and protect Bahrain’s heritage.
He expressed delight at the children’s performance, noting that HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa have become role models for them.
HM the King urged parents to encourage their children to practice all sports which plays a crucial role in developing their personalities as the saying goes “Healthy mind in a healthy body”, noting that youth represent future leaders.
HM the King stressed the importance of empowering young people to take their role in achieving the best honorable results, hailing Bahrainis’ achievements in various races and championships abroad.
HM the King received two cables of thanks from HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa hailing royal care for the equestrian sport.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa said that HM the King is a role model that inspired their children to practise this sport.
In the cables, they praised HM the King’s vision and royal care accorded to sports people, particularly endurance riders, pledging to continue work to enhance Bahrain’s standing.
