HM King receives HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister

Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King's Personal Representative, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court, and Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, were present. The meeting focused on topics related to the comprehensive development process and advancing national achievements. The meeting also reviewed regional and international developments, particularly the tensions in the Middle East and the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. His Majesty emphasised the importance of de-escalation to prevent further crises that threaten regional stability and peace, stressing the need for a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace plan based on the two-state solution, which ensures security and stability for all. His Majesty underscored Bahrain's support for all efforts aimed at establishing security, stability, and peace on both regional and international levels. His Majesty also expressed pride in the numerous achievements of Bahrain's citizens, particularly in the sports and youth sectors. He commended the dedicated efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the SCYS, President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), that have led to remarkable accomplishments. His Majesty affirmed that Bahrain's development continues to advance through the dedication and unity of its people. His Majesty lauded the distinguished achievements by Bahraini athletes at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, commending their impressive performance, skills and competence. He congratulated all the medal winners and wished them continu ed success in their future endeavors. His Majesty the King emphasised the importance of adopting programmes and initiatives that contribute to the development of Arab sports achievements and attaining outstanding results internationally. His Majesty expressed appreciation for all efforts in youth and sports sectors that elevate the nation's standing and lead to podium finishes in various international sports.
