His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received HE Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, today at HM's residence in Kuala Lumpur. HM King Hamad expressed his delight at participating in the coronation ceremony of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Sultan Iskandar of Malaysia. HM the King wished His Majesty the Sultan success in achieving his goals for the benefit of the people of Malaysia. HM King Hamad discussed with the Prime Minister the historical Bahraini-Malaysian relations and efforts to promote cooperation in various domains. They also exchanged views on several topics of common interest. HM King Hamad emphasised the Kingdom's commitment to bolstering relations with Malaysia to fulfill the aspirations of both countries' leaderships and benefit the people of both nations. During the meeting, the two sides affirmed their keenness to further enhance cooperation in various fields.
