HM The Sultan Amends National Day Holiday Dates

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued Royal Decree No. 15/2025, initiating changes to the official holiday schedule of the Sultanate of Oman. The royal decree modifies certain elements of a previous decree, Royal Decree No. 88/2022, specifically concerning the dates of the National Day celebration.

According to Oman News Agency, the amendment specifies that Clause 'D', item 'Firstly', 'Article (1)' of Royal Decree No. 88/2022 has been revised to designate 20 and 21 November as the official National Day holidays for the Sultanate of Oman. This change marks a shift in the observance of the country's National Day.

The decree further mandates that the changes be published in the Official Gazette and be effective immediately from the date of issue. This adjustment ensures that the new holiday schedule is recognized and adhered to across the nation.
