Amsterdam: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik arrived in Amsterdam this evening, embarking on a three-day state visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. When His Majesty’s Royal airplane entered Dutch airspace, it was escorted by military aircraft of the Royal Netherlands Air Force, marking a warm reception. The Royal airplane subsequently landed at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
According to Oman News Agency, His Majesty was greeted at the airport by Rear Admiral Ludger Brummelaar, Chief of the Military House of the King, Reinette Klever, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development, along with other Dutch officials and members of the Omani embassy in the Netherlands. After the welcoming ceremony, His Majesty proceeded to his main vehicle, passing through two rows of the Netherlands Royal Guard of Honour.
Following the reception, the motorcade of His Majesty departed the airport, heading to his residence at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam, led by a convoy of motorcycles. King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands is scheduled to hold an official reception for His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik tomorrow.
