Ankara: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik arrived in the Republic of Turkiye today for a two-day state visit. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkiye led the welcoming party for His Majesty the Sultan, receiving him at the foot of the ramp at Ankara Esenboga International Airport. The President extended wishes for a successful visit and a pleasant stay to His Majesty and the accompanying delegation. According to Oman News Agency, His Majesty the Sultan was greeted by several Turkish officials and members of Oman's Embassy in Ankara. Official reception protocols were accorded to His Majesty upon his arrival. As his motorcade reached the Presidential Complex, a group of horsemen marched ahead of the main vehicle, symbolizing a warm welcome. Once at the Presidential Complex, President Erdogan accompanied His Majesty to the dais of honour, where the Omani Royal Anthem and the Turkish Anthem were played. The occasion was marked by a 21-gun salute in honour of His Majesty. Subsequently, His Majesty, along wi th the Turkish President, inspected the guard of honour. His Majesty then engaged in a ceremonial handshake with senior members of the welcoming party, which included Turkish Ministers Hakan Fidan, Mehmet Simsek, Yasar Gler, Mehmet Fatih Kacir, Ă–mer Bolat, and Mehmet Hakimoglu, as well as Fahrettin Altun, Head of Communications of the Presidency, among other officials. President Erdogan also greeted the members of the official delegation accompanying His Majesty the Sultan. The formal proceedings concluded with a commemorative photograph of His Majesty the Sultan and President Erdogan in front of the Presidential Complex.
