Antwerp: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, accompanied by King Phillippe Leopold Louis Marie, King of the Belgians, visited the building of the Port of Antwerp today, as part of His Majesty's state visit to the Kingdom of Belgium. Upon his arrival at the facility, His Majesty the Sultan was received by the Governor and Mayor of Antwerp, the CEO of the port, and some Belgian officials. According to Oman News Agency, the visit included a briefing on the port's importance, strategic location, and future plans. Discussions during the meeting focused on areas of cooperation in renewable energy, green hydrogen, and liquefied natural gas transportation, as well as ways to strengthen partnerships in the ports and logistics sector. During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan and the King signed the Visitors Book. A group photo was also taken, featuring His Majesty the Sultan, the King, the official delegation from both sides, and a number of officials and CEOs. At the conclusion of the visit, the administration of Antwerp Port presented His Majesty the Sultan with a commemorative gift. In return, His Majesty presented a ship model as a commemorative gift to the port's administration.
