Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik gave an audience this morning at Al Barakah Palace to Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates. The meeting underscored the ongoing collaboration between Oman and the UAE, particularly in the realm of parliamentary relations.

According to Oman News Agency, the Speaker conveyed the greetings and best wishes of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, to His Majesty Sultan Haitham. In return, His Majesty expressed his heartfelt sentiments and requested the Speaker to deliver his regards to the President of the UAE.

During the audience, discussions centered on enhancing cooperation between the two countries, especially in the parliamentary sector. The focus was on developing systems that would support national plans and visions, aligning with the aspirations of the people in both nations.

The reception saw the presence of Khalid Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council, and Mohammed Nakhira Al Dhaheri, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Sultanate of Oman, indicating the significance of the meeting in strengthening bilateral relations.
