Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received a written message from President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic. The message focuses on the longstanding relations and cooperation between Oman and France.
According to Oman News Agency, the message was delivered to Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, by Nicolas Forissier, Minister Delegate for Foreign and Economic Attractiveness, who is attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic.
During the meeting, both parties discussed their shared commitment to enhancing cooperation across various sectors to serve mutual interests. The discussions particularly emphasized economic and commercial areas, with a focus on renewable energy, tourism projects, and infrastructure developments such as the transport sector. Additionally, they highlighted the importance of deepening cultural and civilizational ties between the two nations.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry, and Nabil Hajlaoui, Ambassador of the French Republic to the Sultanate of Oman, along with several officials from both countries.
