Muscat:Her Highness the Honourable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed Al Busaidi, Spouse of the Sultan of Oman, conveyed a heartfelt message of greetings for Omani Women's Day, observed annually on October 17. In her message, she acknowledged the vital role and significant contributions of Omani women to the nation's heritage, values, and progress.
According to Oman News Agency, the Honorable Lady highlighted the importance of the day, noting that this year's celebration is particularly momentous due to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik's Royal Directive, which allocates an additional seat for women in the Shura Council in each governorate. This decision underscores the recognition of Omani women's capabilities and their crucial role in shaping Oman's future.
The Honorable Lady emphasized the evolving role of women in today's world, where rapid advancements and interconnected ideas present both challenges and opportunities.
