Hotel Revenue Exceed RO 52 Million by February 2024


_: Statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) show that the total revenues of 3 to 5-star hotels in Oman by the end of February 2024 rose by 18.2% to RO 52,388,000 as against RO 44,415,000 during the corresponding period in 2023.

The rise in revenues was due to an 18.2 rise in the total number of hotel guests that stood at 433,856 until the end of February 2024, compared to 366,969 guests by the end of February 2023. The rate of occupancy also grew by 11.2 percent, according to the NCSI.

Statistics indicated that the number of Omani hotel guests rose by 5.7 percent to 141,335 and that the number of GCC guests went up by 13.6 percent to 25,607. The number of European tenants grew by 28.7 percent to 153,422.

The number of hotel guests from the Americas stood at 14,829, while the number of hotel tenants from the African continent posted a growth rate of 9.7 percent to 2,029. In the meantime, the number of Asian tenants grew by 29.5 percent to 54,562. The number of hotel gue
sts from Oceania stood at 6,347.
