In a historic achievement, Palestine’s baseball team qualifies for the West Asia Cup championship game

In a historic achievement, Palestine’s baseball team qualified for the final game of the West Asia Cup, which includes teams from Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal, and Palestine, after defeating Bangladesh in the semi-finals with a score of 14-3.

This is the first appearance and participation of the team abroad since its establishment in 2017.

Palestine ended Group B of the West Asia Cup, currently playing in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, with four wins and zero losses.

It will play the winner of the Pakistan-Sri Lanka game in Group A for the final game scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday.

The Palestine baseball team consists of players living in the United States, in addition to players from the Gaza Strip, and is led by a coaching staff consisting of coach Abdel Rahman al-Ghoula, and assisted by Ayman Abdullah and Kayed Yassin.
