Increase in Producer Price Index in September, says PCBS

RAMALLAH, The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said in a report today that the overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine witnesses a 0.97% increase compared to the previous month.

PPI for locally consumed products reached 100.49 points in September, which indicates an increase of 1.08% compared to August.

PPI for local exported products reached 105.54 points in September, which indicates a slight increase of 0.05% compared to August.

The changes of PPI for September 2021 were traced back to changes in prices of the following major activities compared to the previous month: Agriculture, forestry and fishing goods (+4.14%), manufacturing (+0.47%), mining and quarrying (0.00%), electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-5.23%), and water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (-3.33%).
