Muscat:The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion has signed a cooperation programme as part of the Industrial Change Leaders Initiative. This initiative aims to develop the skills of national leaders and talent in strategic analysis, policy-making, performance governance, and change leadership, aligning with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
According to Oman News Agency, the initiative is designed for leaders and both administrative and technical personnel within the Ministry and related entities in the industrial sector. It includes an applied programme featuring five days of in-person training over a month, combining work-based learning, coaching, field analysis, and a policy lab. This approach aims to transform knowledge into practical applications and data-driven solutions.
Key themes of the programme cover administrative diagnosis, organisational restructuring, change engineering, performance governance, smart performance indicators development, leadership dashboard design, and policy-making. The initiative is expected to result in executive projects and solutions addressing real-world challenges.
This initiative is part of the Ministry's broader effort to build national leadership capabilities that can drive change, transform data and analysis into policies and practical solutions, and enhance institutional performance efficiency. It supports the development of the industrial sector and aims to strengthen its ability to meet the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
